n the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus the Messiah revealed his authority in his teaching. In Matthew Chapters 8 and 9, his miracles reveal his authority over the areas where sin and its effects have entered his world. In each case, Jesus demonstrates the power needed to redeem what sin has corrupted. In the first of three sets of miracles, Matthew reveals Jesus the Messiah's authority over disease and demonic power while calling all who would follow him to do so without conditions.
