We are delighted that you are interested in our library. We have over 8,000 resources to help enrich your spiritual journey. This library has books and media from an evangelical Christian perspective; within that perspective are various schools of thought regarding parenting, psychology, theology and Bible interpretation. Our library is located just around the corner from the Missions Area in the lobby of the Worship Center. Just walk down the stairs or ramp, and you'll see the library on your immediate right. Use of the library is free of charge -- a completed registration form is all that we need – and is open to anyone in the Santa Clarita Valley. You can also search our collection from home or work. Just follow the link above for searching the catalog. We provide excellent Christian materials for all ages and stages in life, to help people “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)

Policies

  • Checkout Periods

One week is assigned for single CDs and DVDs. All books and items with 2 or more discs have a 3-Week checkout period.

  • Renewals

You may renew in person, by phone or by email. Please try to renew by the due date of the item -- this really helps our staff! If you leave a voice message or send an email, please give us the full name of the person under which the items were checked out. If needed, please spell the last name in your phone message. Each library item may be renewed two times, unless it is being used for a group (more) or is on reserve for someone else (less).

  • Our Collection

Our sections are divided by Age Group and Material Type. Age groups are determined by content and not necessarily reading level, therefore not all material is appropriate for all age levels. Parents, please use discernment.

Feel free to talk with a librarian and/or fill out a “Request for New Materials” form if you have a recommendation for a specific book, audio or DVD resource to add to our collection.

  • When the Library is Closed

You may return library items to our Return Cabinet in the Worship Center lobby any time the church building is open, usually 8AM to 9PM (8AM to 6PM Fridays), seven days a week, except for holidays. When worship services are not in session, please enter the D "Office" building, as the glass doors to the Worship Center are locked.

The Return Cabinet is at the top of the ramp across from the library doors. You can also put any fine money into envelopes provided, write your name on the envelope, and drop it in the lower slot.

  • Overdue and Lost Items

We assess a 10-cent fine per day per overdue item, which is $.40 per week. We do not charge fines on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. For lost items, please pay the replacement fee so that others will be able to use the item in the future.

  • Reserving an Item

You may ask for a Hold on a checked-out item, so that when it is returned, it will be held for you to pick up. Reserve an item by phone, in person, or by e-mailing us at Library@GraceBaptist.org.

  • Bargain Cart

Check out this cart in the back right corner of the library (Hallway on Sunday’s) for items that the library has removed. We ask a donation of $1.00 a book in order to help the library purchase materials and supplies. We appreciate your support!

  • Donating Books and Media

We are currently NOT accepting any donations as of 3/13/23.

If you desire to donate any Christian materials to our library, please bring them to a librarian during open hours. If you wish to donate a newly published book or media item, please notify us in advance so that we do not purchase it. We no longer accept audio or video cassette tapes, VHS, cd’s or DVD’s.

  • How You Can Help Us

Please add Library@GraceBaptist.org to your address list so that our emails get through your spam filter. We communicate with most library patrons by email -- this saves our ministry money and time.

Ask a librarian about opportunities to serve in the library. Volunteers serve on weekdays, weeknights, or weekends, doing a variety of tasks. We'd love to have you join us!
