Grace Theatre

Grace Theatre is a company of actors and production crew committed to Jesus and to excellence in the performing arts. Our ministry focuses on the development of our God-given creative abilities for the purpose of magnifying His glory. Grace Theatre productions are designed to creatively engage our community and our workshops offer actors opportunities to further develop their craft. Grace Theater: Summer Adventure Auditions!

We are seeking kids (age 12 and up) and adults for multiple roles for our Summer Adventure Assembly Shows! Rehearsals will take place Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings, in addition to performances the week of June 23-27. Auditions are being held Sunday, April 6 from 1:30-4:00pm.

If you are unsure of what role you'd like to audition for, that's okay! All audition results will be emailed the following day.

Role Descriptions:

  • Female Supporting. Adult role. Leader of Foreverglades. Cunning and charismatic.

  • Male Supporting. Adult role. Mysterious figure who drops clues for Basecamp team. Sneaky and agile.

  • Female Supporting. YA/Adult role. Street smart, agile, and tough. Knows how to ride skateboard.

  • Male Supporting. Adult role. Banjo-playing, larger-than-life man who only speaks/sings in rhyming patterns. Talented musician and dancer.

  • Background roles. No spoken lines. Must be able to run around, dance, and look important.

  • Female Lead. Teen/YA role. Basecamp Room Leader, sister of OB. Organized, likable, and a strong leader.

  • Male Lead. Teen/YA role. Basecamp Worship Leader, brother of Grace. A skilled musician and street smart; heroic.

  • Female Lead. Teen/YA role. Basecamp Tech Volunteer. Grace's best friend. Intelligent, sneaky. Skilled at A/V, tech, and coding.

  • Male Lead. Teen/YA role. Basecamp Discipleship Coordinator. A goofy friend looking for laughs. Charismatic; hates ducks.

  • Female Lead. Teen/YA role. Basecamp Sidekick. This role has no spoken lines; heavily reliance on gesturing and comedic timing. Excitable and willing to help, though not the bravest.

Theatre Tuesdays

1st & 3rd Tuesdays 6-9pm

Open invitation to Cast and Crew to gather in the TSC large theater for a variety of creative nights:  Improv Training, Crew Training Workshops, Script Readings, Fellowship Dinners, etc. Please contact Monique Newman below if you’d like specifics on an upcoming evening.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are actors, screenwriters, filmmakers, and directors here at Grace Baptist and are involved in this valley-wide church drama ministry. Through occasional acting workshops, they are working to provide monologues, scenes, and film projects to be used in services and much more.
