Sunday, June 23
Welcome to our Order of Service page! Each week, a team of pastors and staff get together to collaborate on the liturgy, or order of service, for Sunday. Every element is prayerfully and carefully crafted so that the Gospel, God’s redemptive story to save a people for Himself in and through His Son Jesus Christ, would be clear and compelling. We hope you’ll enjoy following along with us as we present and rehearse the Gospel again this morning.

What is the role of the Holy Spirit?
We believe that God the Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son to glorify Jesus Christ. He has several titles and names in Scripture, many indicating aspects of His function and ministry such as Helper, Comforter, and Intercessor. As the third person of the Trinity...
He convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment.
By His powerful and mysterious work, He regenerates spiritually dead sinners through the Gospel, awakening them to repentance and faith.
In Him, they are baptized into union with Christ and His body, the Church.
By the Spirit's power, believers are illuminated, sanctified, comforted, adopted into God's family, and gifted for service.
God the Spirit indwells and fills each Christ-follower for godly living and is the seal of their promised inheritance.
The Holy Spirit was active in the Old Testament. His role in creation was evident at the beginning (Gen. 1:2; Psalm 104:30; Job 33:4). He brought revelation and prophecy to God's people (Num. 24:2; Neh. 9:30; 2 Sam. 23:2; 1 Pet 1:10-12) and continued to inspire the authors of Scripture in the New Testament until the work was complete (2 Tim 3:16-18; 2 Pet 1:21).
During our services, you'll notice that we quote, pray, read, and sing a lot of Scripture. That's purposeful! We believe for God’s people to be Spirit-led, they must be Word-fed. As Pastor David says, "The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to do the work of God in the lives of people."
"The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." John 14:25-26.
