Founded by Keith and Katie Phillips in Los Angeles, World Impact exists to plant churches among America's 40 million unchurched urban poor. World Impact ministers in 11 cities throughout the United States, maintains four Christian camps, four Christian schools, medical/dental clinics and 70 satellite campuses of The Urban Ministry Institute (theological education for the urban poor). The Los Angeles branch of World Impact is active in urban church planting and the training of urban missionaries.
