SonWorld Adventure Park VBS 2008 –

A Colossal Thanks to All of You

for the Outstanding Job You Did!

You made it possible. You followed God’s leading and He made it special. We had about 1,750 children, youth and adults each day! God’s Word was taught; we memorized verses, prayed together, ate together, and played together. But best of all, we had boys and girls receive Christ as their Savior and Lord. The children’s missionary project will go to “Returning Hearts,” which ministers to children whose dads are in prison. Our kids helped to make a difference in their lives. Thanks to each and every one of you who invested into the lives of our children.
- Debbie Broyles

The Library is CLOSED This Holiday Weekend.
We are Open Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and Wednesday evenings through the summer, with no lines!
During our Anniversary Celebration NEXT weekend the Library will be open Saturday evening from 6:40-7:15pm and Sunday morning from 9:30-10:00am and 11:15-11:45am.

A Few Months Ago, an Accelerator Lane
was Installed at the Bottom of ...

the West Driveway. This lane is for cars making a right hand turn as they exit that driveway. We encourage anyone who would like to exit the church a little faster to please use the accelerator lane.

China and Myanmar Disaster Relief Update
A total of about $3,400 was contributed by the Grace family to the China and Myanmar Disaster Relief Fund. This has been divided between the Baptist General Conference and Samaritan’s Purse. Both of these organizations are providing aid to the disaster struck regions. Thank you for your generosity!

The “Second Saturday Green Team” is

What a Great Day to Receive ...
“The Gift of a Lifetime!”

The glorious character of the living God is revealed in His creation, but most powerfully seen in Jesus Christ, God's Son. Jesus taught that the perfection of God, His Father, is beyond the reach of any human being because of our sin. Even though our rebellious, selfish nature deserves death, God, in love, reaches down to us and gives eternal life through one’s faith in the life and work of Jesus Christ. (1 John 5:11 and John 3:16)

When we humbly recognize and admit our sins, believe that the Lord Jesus was punished for the forgiveness of our sin, and turn away from our sin in repentance to begin following God in our lives, then Jesus' death and resurrection secures eternal life for anyone who believes. Rejecting God's gift is a choice that only leads to futility, condemnation, and eternal punishment. If you desire to follow Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life and to receive His forgiveness for your sins, no matter what youhave done, you can invite His life-changing Spirit into your life right now by praying something like the following:

Father in heaven, I know that I am a sinner and that I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died in my place to pay the penalty for my sin and that He rose from the dead. I receive your free gift of eternal life through my faith and trust in Jesus alone. I receive Jesus as my Savior and my Lord over every area of my life. Thank you for making me Your child. I love You and seek to follow You according to Your Word (the Bible). I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer or have questions regarding putting your trust in Jesus, we would love to encourage you in understanding what it means to have new life inChrist! Please ask an usher, pastor, or call the church at 296-8737 and we will be honored to help you.
